They then realized why - no city guards patrolled the street, which seemed odd, until they spotted a huddle of Grey Guards on a nearby side street. Suspicion gnawed at Merla’s mind. Using her psychic powers, she probed the thoughts of one guard and unearthed the truth: they had been paid to stay away from Copper Street. Beside Nox stood four strangers, their robes marking them as cultists of Talos, the god of chaos and storms. Sayah’s blood ran cold. She didn’t recognize the cultists, but their presence confirmed her worst fears: the guild and the cult were working together.

The battle erupted in a storm of blades and magic. Nox, wielding her immense strength, charged at the group, while the cultists called upon chaotic magic to rain down upon their enemies. Romark and Merla’s spells clashed with the cultists’ dark magic, while Sayah, Tyr, and Wisp darted through the melee, striking with precision. It was a hard-fought skirmish, but the party eventually overcame their foes, standing victorious amidst the wreckage.
